Yot ClubIn 2019, Ryan Kaiser founded Yot Club in his dorm room, where he created a lo-fi, classically cool indie rock sound rooted in a dreamy haze. Two years later, his breakthrough single “YKWIM?” quickly went viral on TikTok (today, the song has been streamed over 1 billion times) and has since taken him around the world to festivals like Treefort, Kilby Block Party, and Pitchfork Paris. But even now that his personal geography has shifted to Nashville, New York, Philadelphia, and now LA, the suburban logic he grew up with continues to color his writing. Now he’s back with a third album, “SIMPLETON,” in which he debunks the utopian image of the American suburbs and views the carefully curated life as a mirage.VundabarVundabar is an American indie rock band with post-punk influences and a surf-inspired sound. The band was formed in 2013 by Branden Hagen (vocals, guitar) and Drew McDonald (drums) while they were in high school, with Zack Abramo joining later on bass. That same year, their debut album Antics was released, followed by Gawk two years later. In 2021, their single “Alien Blues” went viral on TikTok, six years after its original release, and in 2022, their fifth album Devil For The Fire was released. In the run-up to a 2023 tour, Hagen was struck by a series of personal events: the end of a long-term relationship, the loss of his home, and shortly thereafter, the death of his father. During the subsequent European tour, he also broke his arm. During that period, he wrote new songs, including “I Got Cracked,” which led to a record deal and ultimately their sixth album, “Surgery And Pleasure.”
